30 DAY COLORING CHALLENGE - SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT

I am very lucky to have my own craft room (small, but mine) but my husband really likes when we watch TV together at night so I took one of his, now unused, stainless steel surgical carts and turned it into a coloring cart.  I put most of my coloring mediums onto the cart (no ink pads, no Tim Holtz crayons etc) just stuff that I can sit in the living room at night and color while we watch TV. I can wheel it anywhere in the house or back into my craft room.  My Raskog cart from Ikea stays in my craft room and now holds miscellaneous papers, envelopes and foil.  If you like and find this useful I'd be so happy to hear from you.

POST BOOT CAMP ORGANIZATION and UPCYCLED CARD FILE DRAWERS

I had an amazing weekend at Jennifer Dove's Copic Boot Camp (check out her blog, amazeballs!).  And we got to color those amazing boots! Meeting all those creative women was an added pleasure and I hope to do it again.

However, when I got home my craft room was in a major state of disarray.  So while trying to clean up and reorganize my husband unearthed 4 card boxes from his old medical office and I thought hmmm I can use those!.  He cleaned and painted them and they turned out to be great storage.  Love upcycling!

These turned out to be a great garage find and the hubs was happy to have them used even though he had to paint them.

KURETAKE CLEAN COLOR REAL BRUSH STORAGE SOLUTION

I love these brush watercolors except for the fact that the ID numbers are sooo small and located at the bottom(why?) of the pen.  So here is my solution for saving my eyes. PTouch the number and stick it on the cap! Simple and easy.  I did also put the colors on top but when I put a few drops of glossy accents on, the colors changed somewhat so not a reliable color reference for me.  I did print up Jennifer McGuire's blank color chart and that was really useful.  For storage, I had a 72 Copic Wallet that I wasn't using for my copics and it works perfectly for the brushes, the stay upright, are easy to see and are totally portable.
