POWER POPPY CHRISTMAS WREATH

I so love this Power Poppy image but it took me quite a while to actually finish the coloring and because I sized it so large (4 1/2 inches) I wasn't sure what I was going to do to make the card.  I die cut it in a circle thinking I would make a frame but I didn't like that so instead I used a circle die to just overlay it.  I kept the sentiment simple, a Wplus9 Merry die (colored with Spectrum Noir Shimmer Pen and also used clear on the red ornaments)and the Christmas word from their Festive Greetings. The white shimmer paper is from PTI which kept it simple but pretty.  I really wanted the image to be the primary focus.  Hope you all like it and I would love to hear from you!

ONLINE CARD CLASSES: HOLIDAY STYLE DAY 7 SHIMMER AND SHINE

This is the first card I made for the shimmer and shine day.  I embossed the background and the image with versamark and embossed with Filagree gold embossing powder.   blended distress inks over the embossed background in two colors giving an ombre effect and also colored the image with distress inks. Some pearls and a few sequins finished it off.

The card base is MFT Elf green which has been my go to green this season.

I thought this stamp would make a perfect shaker card, so having watched up-teen videos on making shaker card I decided to give it a go.  OMG, I cannot believe what a disaster!

I had double stick foam sheets and thought how easy to use those but ...NOT!  I couldn't get the layers to line up and once it was down, couldn't be moved.  So I ripped it apart and decided to cut out the colored image and instead of using a scissor, I ran it through my

big shot.   Can you picture the mess?  Adhesive on die (cleaned off), adhesive impressed into cutting plate (unsalvageable) ego, bruised.

This is the mess  but I was able to save the colored image and made a simple but cute card.
